Shostakovich!

Well, February 20th was an absolute blast! I realized that these book clubs are definitely going to be a part of my studio. I knew after we all met and discussed the book Symphony for the City of the Dead with M.T. Anderson ,that I had to incorporate some type of literature aspect into my teaching and performing programs and this is a definite must read. Many questions were asked and considered by everyone attending and I loved that we had multiple age groups that all had their own ideas and takes on this subject. The one take away that I had during this event was that we are all human and what happened in WW2 is indeed a lesson that we should all take seriously. We should all watch out for each other and make absolute certain that this never happens again. Thank you Mr. Anderson for writing this amazing book and meeting with all of us!
